Bernard Bot

Bernard Bot has had an extensive international career in the political and diplomatic fields. He was Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2003 to 2007. Immediately after, Bernard joined Meines Holla & Partners. 

He is involved in complex international matters for companies in the shipbuilding sector as well as the oil storage and energy terminals industry, among other things.

Bernard Bot previously held a variety of diplomatic positions, including postings at embassies in Argentina and East Berlin during the 1970s.

In the 1980s he was a deputy Permanent Representative at the North Atlantic Council in Brussels. He then became Dutch ambassador to Turkey.

From 1989 to 1992 he was Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He concluded his official diplomatic career by taking the position of Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of the Netherlands at the European Union in Brussels.
